PHOTO IMPRESSIONISM
"A new world to behold"
I was always interested in seeing, whether in a reflection, crystal ball, or through a bar prism. All these photos were taken with a WWII tank periscope bar prism. Not attached to the lens, but handheld so I could manipulate the image at will. What I love the most is that it gets rid of superficial details and captures the essence of a new world. Isaac Newton discovered that white light contained a full spectrum of colors, by passing light through a bar prism. Two centuries later, the Impressionists, using his theory, painted light using pure colors!
